What to do on a rainy day ... The Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy

I finished night shift this morning and it was beautiful when I was driving home from work and then on waking up this afternoon after a few hours sleep. I woke to the storm that had hit Sydney and was making everything wet, cold and miserable. So I thought what am I going to do today....

So my options were:

Go and visit our friend who has just had a little baby girl and take some flowers to her and get absolutely soaked
OR
Do some washing and clean up the house and take some parcels down to the Post shop
OR
Curl up in bed and continue to read the second book in the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy.

I am absolutely addicted to the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy. I picked them up from Kmart for $10 a book from the East gardens Westfield, a week or so ago and started reading the first one on a night shift when we weren't too busy.

The first book Fifty Shades of Grey is quite raunchy, bordering on pornographic and it makes you go ohh, she needs to get out of there. But you get drawn into the book when you learn about Ana Steele and Christian Grey. It's an interesting combination that the author E.L James has concocted, and if you're anything like me you won't be able to put the book down. Here's a great review by Feeling Fictional.

It's been reviewed by Oprah and numerous other people and is pretty much a fantastic read. Not really for the faint hearted, but I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to loose themselves in a amazing story plot.

Without giving away to much info and ruining the plot - Ana has a break from Christian and they realise how much they miss each other and the kinkiness continues to a lesser degree which makes it a nicer read without cringing. I'm rather enjoying this book more than the first one, and have had to limit myself to time periods otherwise I'd demolish it in a few hours. So this has been my solace to the rainy day solution that I was wishing for. You find yourself affectionately going 'Oh Fifty', which is Ana's pet nickname for Christian and it's rather amusing reading the subject and end of the emails that they send to each other in the book, so look out for them i.e Smitten Christian Grey, CEO etc etc or as a subject - Twitchy hands.
Another good review of this book by Feeling Fictional

I'm looking forward to getting into the third book in the Trilogy which is Fifty Shades Freed.

Here's another good review by Feeling Fictional so I don't ruin it for myself before I read it.

I'm assuming this book will be about Christian and Ana starting their life together properly without the trouble that they have encountered in two books prior. And there was a marriage proposal mentioned fleetingly in the second book so it will be interesting to see if that eventuates. And I so can't wait to get into it. I have a funny feeling that will be tomorrow if it continues to rain and be miserable like it has been today. Apparently they had some pretty strong winds down at Cronulla, and the Channel Seven news are describing it as a Monster Storm, so I'm glad I didn't venture out down there today.

So have you already demolished the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy or are you about to sink your teeth into it?
